Mission & Goals
The Club Center encourages and supports student clubs and organizations by providing resources, services and trainings needed to develop new student clubs and leaders; effectively operate student organizations; assist in the development of students in leadership roles and facilitate club activities and events.
Current Clubs
Discover the dynamic world of student clubs at South Seattle College! These clubs are led by enrolled students and guided by our dedicated faculty and staff. We welcome all affiliates of our community to take part in the unique clubs available at South. Engaging with our clubs is an excellent way to connect, make friends, and develop new skills or pursue your passions.
Spring 2026: Active Student Clubs
Overview: Promote a safe and inclusive environment in advancement of social justice, a sense of community, promoting cultural awareness, and empowering students to succeed academically and personally.
Meeting Time: Thursdays, 1-2 pm

Overview: Build strength and fitness while learning proper lifting techniques in a supportive environment.

Overview: This club is for basketball enthusiasts of all levels, offering opportunities for friendly matches, skill-building, and team play.

Overview: Phi Theta Kappa is an honor society for students who have achieved academic excellence (3.5 and above GPA). The club offers networking, leadership opportunities, and community service.

Overview: The Makerspace club will help students of all backgrounds in their journey towards becoming “makers.” We will provide access and knowledge to lower barriers to entry for exploration of art, science, and technology.

How to Start a Club
Don’t see a club that suits your interests? Start one today! Follow these simple steps to get started and submit the application form: SSC Club Affiliation Form 2025-2026
- Apply: Fill out our application form to define your club's purpose and identify potential leaders.
- Recruit: Find students who share your interests and select three leaders to work with you.
- Advisor: Get guidance from a South Seattle College staff member who will serve as your advisor.
- Establish Rules: Develop a constitution outlining your club's purpose, leadership roles, and meeting schedules.
